Remedial Massage
Remedial massage is a combination of massage techniques such as Swedish, Deep Tissue and Acupressure, designed to treat superficial and deep tissues of the body.  It releases endorphins into the body, relieving muscle tension and flushing the body of metabolic waste (i.e. lactic acid)
Chinese Tui Na
Tui Na is an ancient massage technique refined over centuries to assist healing by regulating the circulation of Qi (energy) and Blood.  Regulating Qi and Blood promotes healthy body function and resistance to disease.  There are many different techniques involved from pressing, lifting, rubbing and shaking to tapotement and manipulation.  The strength of the massage can also vary depending on the patient from soft and soothing techniques to deep and invigorating.
Deep Tissue Massage
Techniques which utilize deep tissue/ muscle massage are administered to affect the sub-layer of musculature and fascia.  Deep tissue massage is one of the most effective techniques for loosening up those tight muscles.  It helps with any acute or chronic muscular pain and injury rehabilitation, and reduces inflammation-related pain caused by arthritis and tendonitis.  Although it may be painful, its a fast way to pain relief.
Acupressure
Acupressure is an ancient healing art developed in China over 5000 years ago.  The practitioner uses their fingers to press key points on the surface of teh skin to stimulate the body's natural self curative abilities.  When these points are pressed, they release muscular tension and promote the circulation of Blood and Qi to aid healing.  Acupressure is effective in releiving headaches, eyestrain, sinus, neck pain, backaches, arthritis, muscles aches, tension due to stress, menstrual cramps, constipation, indigestion and many more.
Cupping
Cupping is a strong and effective way of breaking up tense muscles and realigning the spine.  It is also commonly applied for ailments such as cold and flu and removes toxins after viruses.  Like acupuncture, it promotes the circulation of Qi and Blood flow, by removing blockages.  The cups are placed on strategic areas by creating a vaccum which draws the muscle up into the cup.  They often leave superficial bruises, that is, bruises without pain.  The bruises inturn allow the body to heal in the specific area.  The more cupping you undertake, the less they will bruise as the circulation of Blood and Qi improves.
Lymphatic Drainage
This technique is used to identify the rhythm, direction and quality of lymph flow in order to remove blockages and find alternative pathways for drainage.  It is especially good for fluid retention and accompanying disorders.
